Rates & Insurance

Straightforward pricing, plus sliding-scale options if cost is a barrier.

Session rates

50-minute session
$145

I see children for 50-minute sessions. That's the format that fits how the work actually unfolds.

Sliding scale

I hold a small number of reduced-fee spots for families in financial need. If one is available and cost is a barrier, please say so in our initial conversation. I'd rather talk about it openly than have money be the reason a child doesn't get support. Keep in mind, too, that depth-oriented work with a child takes time. The cost is real โ€” and so is the long-term impact, which is what makes it worth budgeting for as a family decision rather than a single expense.

Insurance

I'm an out-of-network provider, which means I don't bill insurance directly. If your plan includes out-of-network mental health benefits, I'll give you a superbill (an itemized receipt) each month that you can submit to your insurance for reimbursement.

Before you start, it's worth a quick call to your insurance company to ask:

  • Do I have out-of-network mental health coverage?
  • What's my out-of-network deductible, and how much has been met?
  • What percentage is reimbursed after the deductible?
  • Do I need pre-authorization for out-of-network sessions?

Payment

Payment is due at the end of each session. I accept every common form of payment, including digital forms of payment. Most families pay by card on file or by ACH so it's just handled in the background.

A note on cost

  • If I don't think therapy is what your child needs, I'll say that. You won't be paying me to keep your child in my office longer than they need to be there.
  • Reaching out costs nothing. If we talk and it's not a fit, that's fine.
